Privacy Policy

StreetLore is built to need as little of your data as possible. There is no account, no login, and no profile. The short version: we do not track you, and we do not keep a record of where you have been.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. StreetLore has no accounts and no sign in. It never asks for your name, email, phone number, or contacts.

Your location

StreetLore uses your device location for one purpose: to work out which street you are standing on and look up the story behind its name. Your coordinates are sent to our server only to answer that single request. We do not attach them to your identity, we do not build a history of where you have been, and we never use your location for advertising.

What stays on your phone

Your journeys, favorites, and settings live only on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. If you delete the app, they are gone with it.

No tracking

StreetLore contains no third party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers of any kind. We do not sell or share your data, for the simple reason that we do not collect it.

Maps

The in app map is powered by Apple MapKit. When the map loads, those requests are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

Beta testing

While StreetLore is in beta it is distributed through Apple TestFlight. Apple may collect basic install and crash information under Apple's TestFlight terms to help improve stability. That data goes to Apple, not to us in any identifiable form.

Children

StreetLore is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
